Healthy Living Tips You may think that because your body produces most of your blood cholesterol there is little you can do to control it, beyond drugs. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, you have two powerful ways to help fight cholesterol: diet and exercise. Controlling your dietary cholesterol -- that which you gain through the foods you eat -- can help you in several critical ways. First, it can lower your LDL levels.
